The pricing is great. I am a bit skeptical, as I was hoping it would do more, but that might owe more to the amount of speculation and rumor-mongering that surrounded the device. I guess it might be time to upgrade from the iMac G5...

58 days and counting....
it's not for sale yet. I said to a friend if it's priced under $500, they got me on version 1. Well.... $499! Steve Jobs has my number... There is no doubt the next version will be superior and probably out by the end of 2010.... I'm only disappointed in no camera - seems like a perfect device for video conference..../this analogy seems the best so far... //and yes, the name is unfortunate...

guys, my understanding is that components of HTML5 are already being used so if you have a modern browser you are seeing elements of it now. The whole point is to eliminate all those plugins like flash, silverlight, etc.
Here is a cool example.
